Annual Bad Christmas Poem

(Start the drum roll.) Ladies and Gentlemen... Boys and Girls... The moment you've all been waiting for has finally arrived!! You are about to be fully blessed with the arrival of the Marshall's (Adam's) Annual Bad Christmas Poem. I know... you've been holding your breath for a whole year, right? =)

Okay, so for those of you who are unfamiliar with this tradition, every year for Christmas Adam writes a poem to catch everyone up on our year. This year is no different.

So, here it is...

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a HOLY CRAP WE’RE PREGNANT
With an awaited baby boom, we write to say hi.
As promised last year, a baby Marshall is nigh
Sally is due the Spring of ’09!
Both Moms are ecstatic, a granddaughter will be thine
The Fathers equally proud about a baby to come
Though a girl is expected, a football fan would be fun
Throughout the year, we continued without much new
Adam’s still an Air Force officer, moving to Luke, a lot to do
In April, Sally changed jobs and has moved to education
At the University of Phoenix she counsels students without hesitation
Adam began two new paths – no not a stressor
Learning Marshall Ranch management and also a college professor
Sally’s involved at church including reading and the youth
She’s a great role-model for the young girls in truth
Sadly, we bring bad news about RADAR camera trouble
Both Marshalls went to traffic school and avoided paying double
In June came the great flood of 2008
During a country concert, the toilet supply line did break

Other family news concerns the enlistment of our brothers,

Jason the Army, Will the Marines – both say it’s their druthers

September saw a surprise trip, including some work

After NYC, we enjoyed a conference Adam’s duty not to shirk

November brought the family to feast in Avondale

Adam’s working Christmas, so this year it will pale

We look forward to renewing old friends now as in the past

We love you all and hope your Merry Christmas is a blast!

Merry Christmas, everyone!! We love and miss you!!
